Family Holidays

The Costa Azahar is ideal for families – there is just so much to do for all ages & interests.

The San Fernando beach, 50 yards from the San Fernando apartments, is perfect for young children & adults. It provides unspoilt, un-crowded sand and sea; safe, clean, quiet and un-comercialised.

Just 1.5km from San Fernando beach is the Oliva Beach. While not on the scale of Benidorm, this area provides more activities, including water sports (seasonal) restaurants, shops, bars and the fabulous Oliva Marina.

And for the serious “Beach Player”, the frenetic activity of Benidorm beach is just 30 minutes drive away.

The San Fernando apartments have a fabulous pool just metres away. Swim, soak up the sunshine, and relax.

Because the complex is fully fenced & vehicle traffic can only enter the site through electronically controlled gates, the site is very safe for young children.

For the active family member the area has so much to offer.

On the San Fernando complex there is a well equipped sports area providing squash, tennis, football, and a bar for parents to relax!

In the summer Oliva Beach can provide water sports and within 30 minutes drive is one of the largest aqua-parks in Europe.

For the golf fanatic Spain is well known for the quality of its courses. Oliva Golf, one of Spain’s best is located next door to the San Fernando complex. A superb 18 hole course can provide day green fees & club hire, although prior booking is advised in high season.

Horse riding, trekking and walking are all available in the area.

The areas of Oliva Beach, Oliva Town, and neighbouring towns such as Denia provide an enormous range of bars, restaurants and clubs.

For eating out the visitor is spoilt for choice and there is something for almost every taste from traditional Spanish to traditional “English” as well as excellent Italian, Indian and Chinese cuisine.

Within 30 minutes drive you will find one of the finest theme parks in Europe, Terramitica.

Also close by is the Benidorm “Aqua-park”, and a Safari Park.

The old town of Oliva is typical of the Spanish post card image we all have of quaint Spanish villages. Narrow winding streets climbing up to one of two blue domed churches, with white washed walls & small pavement cafes.

By contract the Oliva beach area is modern, bright and cosmopolitan. The new marina provides home to every type craft from Fantastic Ocean going yachts to small dinghies. There is also a Marina restaurant & bar open to the public.

The port of Denia is a great place to watch the fishing boats & ferries and the fresh fish market is an “experience”.

Valencia is a thriving city, with so much to see & do. See the local information section for more details.
